please pray for us this week. We are supposed to move Friday, most of our stuff is packed but we found out last Friday that the bank was not understanding our school loans (that we don't have to pay back because of the Loan repayment program) They don't get it, we have sent them a million letters explaining it and from the government and blah blah but as of right now we are still not sure we are going to be able to close. I'm sick to my stomach and feeling helpless. We don't know what will happen if you don't close.. I'm stressed and just really honestly sick.
I have been gone forever. Honestly, its been a CRAZY couple of months and I have just not been able to keep up with everything and this got thrown to the bottom of my list. Where to even start? We got the mold taken care of in our house. It took 8 weeks to have it removed and then us putting everything back together. We ended up gutting the entire back part of out house. There was nothing left but the cement floor and studs. I had lots and lots of meltdowns because it was our kitchen and family room. The two rooms we spent the most time in and I couldn't cook for those whole 8 weeks NOTHING! The house was a mess, filled with Drywall dust and what ever else you can think of from a construction site. However, I did learn a great lesson from the body of Christ, as our small group came together and helped us with Alivia, food and even with the work! I cried many times because of that as well but happy, very thankful tears. We finished the house on September 1st and put it on the market that day. We had been talking about moving for a while but when all this happened we decided it was time. All of our hard work paid off because we were the highest priced home in our neighborhood and we sold our house in a week! That started another round of craziness because we then needed to find a house. We took one day and looked at 5 houses and decided on one that we are so excited about! We are moving to a cute area with historical homes and an AMAZING park right next door. (seriously it is the view from my living room and dining room window) It's one of the most beautiful parks in Fort Wayne! Our house sits two houses away from the park and across the street from one of Drew's good friends from school and next door to another sweet couple that have three little girls, two of them are twin, two year olds!!! I also know about three other couples on our street and then the street over! I have started to pack but up until today I was just a little worried because we have a ton of school loans with Drew's education and the bank was having a hard time understanding them. They just didn't seem to know how they worked so I just kept feeling like something bad was going to happen but today Drew got a letter at work saying that he was accepted into the National Health Loan Repayment Program and they will pay back his student loans as long as he works in an undeserved area and he does!!!!! The 1st two years they will pay $50,000 and then it goes down from there but you can get it until your loans are gone or after a certain amount of time they will forgive them completely!!! This is such a HUGE blessing to us, we are so excited and so humbled by how great God takes care of our every need!
So next weekend we go to Chicago for Drew's graduation ceremony and then the following weekend we will be moving!!
In between that my sweet baby girl turned two! We went to the doctor the other day and they couldn't believe how well she is talked. The other day I was leaving and she came to the door and said "see ya later mom, have fun!" She says huge words and uses them correctly like "mom your hilarious" or Mississippi. Last night she told me she was exhausted .. Cracks me up. She is funny and sweet and she is full of attitude but that little girl has melted our hearts. When we asked her what she wanted for her bithday the only thing she would tell us (and we didn't promt her) was a birthday bike. She would say "I wanna Pink BIRDAY BIKE! She also wanted cake and ice cream and I birthday party! I will have to upload photos one day soon from her party, I'm pretty sure she was the cutest birthday girl I have ever seen!
